REVIEW OF THE 131ST CANTON FAIR
On April 24th, the 131st Canton Fair came to an end online for the fifth time. Due to the COVID-19 epidemic and the severe situation of prevention and control, the Canton Fair was held online again, building a trade bridge on cloud, blooming business opportunities, sharing the dividends of opening-up. Wang Shouwen, Vice-Minister of Commerce and Deputy China International Trade Representative, said in his speech that Chinese government has attached great importance to the Canton Fair. Chinese president Xi Jinping has twice sent his congratulatory messages to the fair, showing his great expectations on the event. As a practical response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event has been held online in recent years. Online exhibition also follows the trend of digital development. The 131st session, held online, will utilize advanced technologies to break limit of time and space to be an efficient communication platform for global buyers and sellers.

Since the Canton Fair was announced to be held online, Anho, which has been participating more than 20 consecutive fairs, has become proficient in live-streaming. Selling from offline to online also has updated and improved our trade methods. Using the foundation of previous online platform, we held more than 50 live-streaming in three sessions and uploaded over 70 products in four categories. With the expansion of the popularity of online Canton Fair, merchants were more motivated to respond and participate. Just few days after the launch, our online exhibition hall and products have been collected by many times. And we have received customers’ business cards from more than 20 countries such as America, Australia, India, Brazil, Ethiopia and so on. We also actively got in touch with customers through the online function and made full use of the online platform of Canton Fair to expand the market, grab new orders, promote transactions and strive to maintain a long-term cooperation with more customers.

Under the epidemic, although the 131st Canton Fair could not hold offline exhibitions, the arrival of the Canton Fair on the cloud still added confidence to foreign trade companies to grab orders and expand the market. We believe that with the ceaseless development and improvement of the online Canton Fair, we will have more and more opportunities to develop new customers and expand new market.
